MISSION STATEMENT
Right Direction is a 501(c)4 organization dedicated to the restoration of Movement Conservatism in New Jersey and the United States. Popularly referred to as “Reagan Conservatism,” Movement Conservatism embraces the core principles enunciated by Barry Goldwater, Ronald Reagan and William F. Buckley.
In a nutshell, the principal objectives of Movement Conservatism are :
Reducing government size, regulations, spending and taxes
Expanding personal liberty, free markets and overall prosperity
To achieve the realization of these goals, Right Direction engages in education and activism on local, statewide and national levels.

MANAGEMENT
David Larsen – Chairman
Born in Brooklyn, New York to a legal Norwegian immigrant family, Dave received his first taste of the real world and a lasting introduction to the American work ethic by delivering newspapers at a young age and later helping his father with the family business – Larsen Windows & Doors – which he eventually purchased after returning from college and running his own construction and home improvement business.
Dave also ventured into the real estate market, acquiring various residential and commercial properties in multiple states. After settling down in Tewksbury, NJ with Donna, his wife of over 30 years and their three daughters, Dave also became a gentleman farmer, raising American Quarter Horses and growing hay.
Alarmed by the direction our nation took after the election of Barack Hussein Obama in 2008, he resolved to become part of the solution and in 2010 ran for the 7th U.S. Congressional District seat held by moderate Republican incumbent Leonard Lance – an audacious decision, since it was the first time Dave ever aspired to ANY political office. He lost the primary to Representative Lance by a close enough margin to attract the attention of both the conservative and main stream political community, where he has since become a familiar face in their ranks and has established a leadership position.
Determined to benefit from the lessons of the 2010 campaign, Dave summoned a select group of conservatives to his home early in 2011 to discuss the future of Movement Conservatism here in New Jersey and nationwide. It was a long but productive day; the fruit of the discussion would take the form of a conservative organization – including a website created in February and dedicated to restoring a vibrant conservative voice to the political dialog in the Garden State and elsewhere in our republic.
In the wake of a blizzard of e-mails and more meetings, the design and functional structure of the site was formalized; Dave instructed the operating staff (in this case, the Managing Editor and the Webmaster) to finalize the details – and on May 2, 2011 Right Direction plunged into the waters of the Conservative Movement, steaming full speed ahead on its maiden voyage.

John DiMarco – Executive Director
One of the most politically astute members of the Conservative Movement and a fixture in Garden State politics, John has been involved with various conservative organizations for more than three decades in addition to advising and participating in numerous political campaigns at the local, state, and national level. In that time, he has amassed an enormous storehouse of knowledge gleaned from his extensive experience.
In spite of his immersion in a statewide political culture that is liberal at best and cynically opportunistic at worst, he has remained a stalwart conservative and ardent defender both of Life and of the Reagan legacy – regardless of the results on election day.
John is a grizzled veteran of the political trail who volunteered his services to the Steve Lonegan For Governor campaign in 2009 and the David Larsen for Congress campaign in 2010. Presently he is a Republican committeeman for Bridgewater.
